Big Bear Bio Consolidated its Operations in Bay Area

September 11, 2001 — Big Bear Bio, Inc. ("Company") consolidated its administrative and research operations in San Francisco Bay Area as of September 2001. The Company has closed its administrative office in Austin, TX and opened new headquarters in Alameda, CA. With its existing research facility in Alameda, Company is integrating its R&D functions by this relocation and consolidation.

The major factor that drove the Company toward this direction was recent significant progress in its product development activities. For majority of its six novel therapeutic product candidates, Company has reached the stage that GMP manufacturing can be prepared. It requires more process management and quality control tasks to the Company's product development team and closer communications between research and development staff.
