Acologix, Inc. Appointed Patrick Murphy as Vice
President, CMC and Operations
Hayward, CA – May 16, 2005 — Acologix, Inc., a
privately held biopharmaceutical company, today announced the appointment
of Patrick Murphy as its Vice President, CMC and Operations. Mr.
Murphy joins Acologix with over 25 years of biopharmaceutical industry
experience and substantial expertise in manufacturing, process development
and quality compliance.
Prior to joining Acologix, Mr. Murphy held executive management
positions at Abgenix, Inc. where he was most recently the Senior
Vice President of Production Services. Mr. Murphy was directly responsible
for developing and leading manufacturing, process sciences, quality
compliance, and materials management functional areas.
Mr. Murphy also held various management positions at Genentech,
Inc. including Director of Strategic Operations and Director of
Biochemical Manufacturing, where he played a key role in the development
and commercialization of numerous biopharmaceuticals. Prior to joining
Genentech, Mr. Murphy worked in Manufacturing and Process Development
for Dyanpol. Mr. Murphy has managed manufacturing of 7 commercial
products and more than 15 clinical stage compounds.
